Robert Allen is a senior lecturer in the Department
of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, where he directs Homewood
Biomedical Design Associates (HBDA). Within HBDA, students are part of a “university-based
corporation” where teams design and implement a wide range of projects
for sponsors.
