Will DelHagen

Will DelHagen is a graduate student in electrical
engineering at MIT as well as founder and president of the Design that Matters
club. Last year, Mr. DelHagen was one of the lead instructors for the Design
that Matters studio course. He has organized a number of seminars and lectures
on sustainable development at MIT, and is working with the Project for Human
Rights and Justice at MIT and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government to expand
the activities and impact of Design that Matters. Will initiated collaboration
between MIT and the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology in
Punjab, India, which has become the basis for the India section of the D-Lab
class, and led the trip there in January 2004. He is currently the GSO Sustainable
Development Fellow and is working on several projects relating to home-based
care for AIDS/HIV patients in Zambia.
