Alison Hynd

Alison Hynd received her PhD in archeobotany from Sheffield University in England, focusing her field work on sites in Italy, Syria, and Greece. She joined the staff at MIT as a research assistant for the D-Lab class and has since become the coordinator of the MIT IDEAS Competition and the MIT Public Service Center Fellowships program. Through these programs, and through the newly formed Initiative for International Development at MIT, Alison works to create a range of opportunities to support student work in developing countries.
