Tom Mason

Tom Mason is director of the Master of Science
in Engineering Management (MSEM) Program and professor of economics at the Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology. He was the founding vice president for entrepreneurship
and business planning within Rose-Hulman Ventures and continues there as an
innovation fellow. In addition to teaching, Mason has also served Rose-Hulman
as head of Humanities and Social Sciences and vice president for Administration
and Finance. While on a three-year leave from Rose-Hulman, he served as CFO
and CEO of a 140-person network management systems business. He has been advisor
or director for several high tech firms and is currently working with engineering
faculty of several schools to integrate entrepreneurship and engineering education.
Dr. Mason received his PhD in economics from the University of Pittsburgh and
his BA in economics from Geneva College.
