Nick Mourlas

Nick Mourlas graduated with high honors in 1992
with a BE degree in mechanical engineering from Dartmouth College. In 1996 he
received an MS in electrical engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
He recently completed a PhD in EE at Stanford, which focused on microfluidic
couplers, sensors and dynamic chemical processing; he has a patent pending for
fluidic channel processing and has also disclosed an invention for fluidic coupling
(on which Greg Kovacs, MD, PhD is a co-inventor) to Stanford's technology licensing
office. Mourlas plans to pursue an MD degree and is a past co-president of the
Stanford Business Association of Stanford Engineering Students (BASES) and has
been a semi-finalist in the BASES Stanford Entrepreneurship Challenges. He is
also co-founder, president and CEO of Acumen Medical, a local startup.
