Lisa Waples

Ms. Waples has a BS degree in biomedical engineering
and an MS in macromolecular science, both from Case Western Reserve University.
She also received a MS in materials science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Ms. Waples is currently the associate chair and co-op/internship coordinator
in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Marquette University. She directs
the undergraduate and graduate internship and co-op programs, the Les Aspin
FDA Internship Program, and the Continuing Education program for industry. Ms.
Waples instructs students in career development and has been an invited speaker
and panelist on topics addressing developing co-op/internship programs, career
development, and networking at BMES meetings since 2000. Ms. Waples is a member
of the Biomedical Engineering Society, Tau Beta Pi, and the Society for Women
Engineers.
