delegates, speakers and guests frequently have questions
which are of broad concern to the NCIIA community. In order to serve you better, we offer

- What is the theme of this year’s conference?
The theme of this year's conference is Getting to the Point: Ideas, Process, Products. With the right knowledge and tools, educators, students, and other innovative entrepreneurs can create major change for the good. What needs are we addressing? Where do we start?
- Who may attend the conference?
Anyone with an interest in invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship education is welcome.
- Why do people attend the conference?
People attend to share their ideas, learn from others, and build their personal networks of like-minded professionals.
- How are the conference days structured?
Thursday and Friday are full days, starting with breakfast. Each day has breakout sessions in the morning and afternoon, with a programmed lunch in the middle. This year, Thursday evening is scheduled as a night out on town with fellow attendees and should provide an excellent networking opportunity away from the conference spotlight, and Friday night features the March Madness for the Mind reception and E-Team exhibition. Saturday starts with breakfast and two breakout sessions. The formal conference program ends at noon, and the afternoon is yours to explore Dallas or hold small group meetings.
- How can I register to attend?
You can register by clicking the 'Registration' link. You will be directed to the NCIIA website for secure registration. If you do not have an NCIIA account, you will need to create one before registering.
- What are the fees to attend the conference?

- Does the price of the conference include meals and lodging?
The registration only covers meals and sessions. Your registration does NOT cover lodging. Please follow the instructions on the location link to reserve your room.
- What events does the guest fee cover?
The guest fee covers the E-Team exhibition, March Madness for the Mind and the opening banquet only. Other conference sessions are NOT covered under the guest fee.
- Can I share a registration?
Sorry but the registration only covers the individual registered.
- Can I attend only part of the conference for a reduced fee?
While you can choose to attend only part of the conference, full registration fees apply.
- What if I need to cancel my registration?
To receive a full refund, fax your request to (413) 587-2175 or send it in writing postmarked March 12, 2007 to:

- Where are the conference sessions held?
All sessions will be held at the conference hotel, The Fairmont, Dallas.
- Where can I make hotel reservations?
Hotel reservations can be made using the instructions provided here.
- Is there a shuttle if I stay at another hotel?
No, The NCIIA is holding a block of rooms at the Fairmont and all sessions will take place at this hotel.
- Will you have wireless access?
Yes, the NCIIA will provide complimentary wireless access in all the meeting rooms.
- Will I have high-speed internet access in my hotel room?
Yes, the hotel provides wired access in all sleeping rooms. You can get free internet access by signing up for the Fairmont Presidents Club
- Is there any transportation to/from Dallas airport?
The Super Shuttle (1.972.615.9975) is available from/to DFW Airport for $17.00 per person.
- I am driving a car. Do I have to pay for parking?
Valet Parking is available for guests for $20.00 per day with in-and-out privileges. Covered and open parking lots and garages available in the surrounding area. Please note that the NCIIA does not have any special parking rates negotiated with the hotel or area parking garages.
Can I bring my spouse and kids to the conference?
Conference events are only open to registrants. However, there are many fun things to do in Dallas to keep your loved ones occupied while you participate in the conference. Please check out some of the area attractions.
- How should I dress?
Dress code for the conference is business casual. Some people find that the temperature in the meeting rooms is too cool for their comfort, so you may consider 'layers' of clothing that you can add or remove as needed.

- How do I request informational literature about Dallas?
There is a FREE visitors guide available here. It is produced by the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau - who should know a thing or two about the myriad attractions available to us there! Allow 2-3 weeks for delivery!
- Can you point me to some more online resources so that I can familiarise myself with Dallas before I get to the conference?
