| Conducting
successful industry collaborative projects requires careful planning,
appropriate resources, and the right people. After managing multiple
collaborative product design development projects with education-industry,
we have found a few critical ingredients for successful results.
For product design and most other complex problem-solving, a highly
interdisciplinary team produces innovative and insightful results.
The use of a proactive design research method called participatory
people research allows the entire design team to create relevant,
non-biased techniques for getting people to express their own,
authentic needs and wants through visual tools. |
