| In the last
thirteen years, the Managerial Abilities Program of the University
of Chile has undertaken an investigation of factors determinant
of innovation. This process started with the study of fifty successful
companies with noteworthy histories of innovation in their products
and processes. The origin of the heart of this methodology is
in Humberto Maturana's biology of cognition, the managerial and
innovation paradigm based upon language ontology and communication
by Fernando Flores, and empiric research studies by Carlos Vignolo
Friz. This methodology views strategic, systemic thought, emotional
intelligence, and social capital as a relationship-network that
facilitates learning, change and innovation a team or organization.
