Stimulating Innovation and Invention in Non-Technical E-Teams and the Role of the Outside Mentor
Thurs 11:00 am - 3D
Steven H. Schwartz and Nina L. Greenwald
The graduate program of Critical and Creative Thinking at UMass Boston has developed and implemented a two-semester course sequence on Creative Thinking, Innovation and Invention. Participating students are primarily seniors and graduate students with backgrounds in the liberal arts and education. In this session we will display the work of three of our E-Teams. More importantly, we will discuss how to help stimulate creative thinking in E-Teams with limited time and little technical expertise. Finally, we will consider the critical role of the outside mentor, and possible guidelines for effective E-Team mentoring.
