Penn State's Engineering Entrepreneurship minor consists of four core courses taught by engineering, business, and information science and technology (IST) faculty. An additional elective was created to support students who choose to pursue a new idea or product. An evaluation using a questionnaire and student focus groups was conducted to understand the effects of the E-ship minor and identify areas of improvement. Questionnaire data indicated a trend towards improvement in self-efficacy related to participation in the minor. The focus groups supported the quantitative data, as students repeatedly discussed how the courses increased their belief that they could be entrepreneurs.
