| Creativity is an essential
component in engineering design. Different types of design problems require
varying degrees of creativity, but innovation is a fundamental aspect of
engineering practice. The innovator has many valuable and transferable skills
that can be used in engineering, science, business, or in fact, any other
profession. In this workshop, these principles of everyday creativity will
be described and illustrated, both by example and hands-on activities involving
workshop participants. As Peter Lissiman says “The first rule of innovation
is pleasure.” |
