Invention to Venture 2006: What’s happening now and what the future holds

Invention to Venture is the NCIIA’s technology entrepreneurship workshop series, now in its third year at academic institutions throughout the US. This fast-paced and high-energy event has become an annual point of convergence for colleges and universities building strong entrepreneurship programs. The event gives faculty and students the basic knowledge and vocabulary of technology entrepreneurship, and also provides participants an opportunity to build their network with successful regional entrepreneurs, practitioners, and funding sources. This panel focuses on three institutions that have developed Invention to Venture as an integral component of their overall entrepreneurship activities. The panel will offer best practices on fully leveraging broader entrepreneurship activities across campus, and offer a sneak peek at a new follow-on Advanced Invention to Venture workshop series.
