OPBP for Engineering and Science Students

The business plan and plan presentations are key assessment tools used by engineering and science students to let them know if their new business idea has wings before taking the entrepreneurial leap. Every engineering and science student entrepreneur should have a business plan to communicate the vision and mission of the new venture and to guide her operations and ensure its vitality
and growth. This active learning workshop, developed by faculty at Sierra Nevada College and executed in spring 2005 by the Academy for Entrepreneurial Leadership at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, provides a model for constructing a one-page business plan to answer the key questions presented by the SBIR/STTR grant funders, office of technology transfer and management, SBA lenders and loan officers, banks, business angels, and private lenders. |
