Tugrul Daim is an associate professor in the Department of Engineering and Technology Management of Portland State University.
Before joining the university full time, Daim had been with Intel Corporation for ten years, managing new product development
and technology planning teams while teaching graduate classes at the university. He is also the technical activities
director of Portland International Center for Management of Engineering and Technology. Daim has worked and consulted withseveral companies, including Samsung; Korea Technology Transfer Center,LG; Colgate; Siemens; Marks and Spencer; Wendy’s;
Castrol Oil; Arcelik; and Gazal. He has presented in several international conferences and has co-authored four books in the
area of management of engineering and Technology. He holds a BSME from Bogazici University, MSME from Lehigh University,
MSEM from and Ph.D. in systems science: engineering management from Portland State University. He is a member of
Omega Rho and Tau Beta Pi. He is listed in Who’s Who in America, World and Science and Engineering.
