Carmo A. D’Cruz is associate professor in the Engineering Systems Department at Florida Tech. Over the past seven years, as
member of the adjunct faculty in the Engineering Management Program at Florida Tech, and in the IEMS Department (College
of Engineering) and the Management/Marketing Departments (College of Business) at the University of Central Florida, he has
developed and taught pioneering, innovative courses in technical marketing, high tech product strategy, engineering entrepreneurship,
and technology commercialization strategies. A twenty-year veteran of the electronics and semiconductor industry,
D’Cruz’s experience ranges from R&D, engineering, and operations management to marketing and business development in
big multinationals and small start-ups. His current research and teaching focus is in systems engineering entrepreneurship,
technology commercialization, technical marketing, engineering management, and wireless data technologies. He has a MSEE
from Drexel University, a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a Doctorate in engineering management from Southern
Methodist University.
