Larry Eisenbach, Program Manager, NIKE Footwear Advanced R & D, trained as an Industrial Designer and is a graduate of University of Bridgeport, CT. He worked as an Exhibit, Product, and Graphic Designer for a few small firms before joining Tektronix, Inc. where he did Product Design in their Computer Graphics Division in Wilsonville, OR for 4 years. Larry left to be a Consultant Designer for 2 years prior to NIKE. Since early 2002 Larry has helped Portland State University lead a diverse group of Portland Business Partners and PSU Dean’s & faculty in the development, framework and conceptual model for a world-class, interdisciplinary, course of studies aimed at developing creative and visionary leaders with innovation and sustainability as their guide. In 2003 he architected, co-developed and led a highly successful 2-week intensive workshop entitled “Strategic Product Design: Building a Sustainable Future”, exposing 25 students and working professionals to theory and applications of the core competencies of this initiative.
