Elizabeth Friis is an assistant professor in mechanical engineering at the University of Kansas. Her research is in the area of biomaterials and biomechanics, with special emphasis on orthopaedic implant design and product development. Friis is the co-founder of the KU Multidisciplinary Entrepreneurship Thematic Learning Community (E-ship TLC).
