Susannah Howe is the design clinic director of the Picker Engineering Program at Smith College. She oversees the team-based capstone design course for engineering students, and also serves as a co-faculty advisor for entrepreneurial activity at Smith. She has a Ph.D. and M.Eng. in structural engineering from Cornell University and a B.S.E. in civil engineering from Princeton University. Her professional interests and activities include engineering design, entrepreneurship, engineering education, and natural and alternative building materials.
