Ari-Pekka Kainu holds an M.Sc. in pedagogics & adult education from the University Of Jyväskylä, Finland. He is project manager of the Enterprise Accelerator of Satakunta Polytechnic, and is on the faculty of technology and maritime management. Kainu has fifteen years of experience in adult education, training evaluation, and entrepreneurship. He worked as a teacher and researcher in University of Jyväskylä (1990-1995), as a human resource consultant in Nokia Mobile Phones (1996-1999), as a human resource development manager in Nokia Ventures (2000-2004), and in Satakunta Polytecnic as project manager in the Enterprise Accelerator. The Finnish Ministry of Education has evaluated Satakunta Polytechnic’s Enterprise Accelerator as a Centre of the Quality Unit of Higher Education 2005-2006.
