David Wayne Klein is an assistant professor of industrial design at the Metropolitan State College of Denver. He previously
taught industrial design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he also earned his Master of Fine Arts degree
in 1996. Klein was an academic visiting scholar at the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology in 2005 and received a
Fulbright-Hayes Seminars Abroad award to the Czech and Slovak Republics in 2002. He worked as an industrial designer for
Samsung Electronics in Seoul, Korea, and designed fitness equipment and toys for Roadmaster Corporation in the U.S. Klein
teaches beginning and advanced design concepts, materials and processes for production, and history of industrial design
courses at the Metropolitan State College of Denver.
