Stacey L Schmidt is the program manager for the Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology Commercialization in the Office
of Research and Commercialization at the University of Central Florida, and is also co-chair of The Joust, UCF’s annual business
plan competition. In her current role, she develops and implements initiatives to support entrepreneurs and university
technologies emerging from the lab into the marketplace. Prior to UCF, Schmidt held management positions at high tech startups,
including Color Kinetics and ADE Corporation. Schmidt received a Masters of Engineering Management from Dartmouth
College and a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Central Florida.
