Timothy M. Stearns holds the Coleman Foundation Chair in Entrepreneurial Studies and is director of the Lyles Center for Innovation
and Entrepreneurship at CSU Fresno. He has taught at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and Marquette University,
and served on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of
Small Business Management. Stearns has co-authored a textbook on management and authored numerous articles. He has
lectured on entrepreneurship and innovation in Thailand, Poland, Japan, Kazakhstan, Macau, and the People’s Republic of
China. He is a founding member of the Coleman Council for Entrepreneurship Education and serves on the executive committee
of N2TEC. He serves as chair of the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management. Stearns is an officer of
USASBE. He is president of the Central Valley Business Incubator and a member of the Regional Jobs Initiative Implementation
Task Force and the Fresno Mayor’s Creative Economy Council.
