Burt Swersey has been teaching design and problem-solving courses at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the past fifteen years. His courses include Inventor’s Studio, a capstone design course and Introduction to Engineering Design. Prior to RPI, Swersey founded and ran four companies in the medical equipment field. He holds more than fifteen U.S. patents.
