Kristian Venalainen is an interim dean in the International School of Art and Design at Finlandia University. He has been working for Finlandia University since 2004. Before that he was the chair of the Department of Ceramic and Glass Design at Kuopio Academy of Design in Finland. Venalainen has been involved with the Global Design Solutions Network project since its beginning. He also works as a product designer/artist mainly focused in porcelain and glass design, and his works can be found in design shops in Europe and United States.
