University of Rochester
Principal Investigator:
Amy Lerner
Grant Amount:
$37,400

This grant will create more opportunities for University of Rochester biomedical engineering students and faculty to pursue commercialization of their medical device designs. The centerpiece of the effort is a two-course sequence that will introduce students to key issues in regulatory processes and IP protection. After the sequence there will be two options for further participation: a paid summer internship program that will focus on next steps and a new certificate program in Medical Innovation.
