Entrepreneurship: Where Art Meets Engineering

Springfield Technical Community College, 2007 - $29,500

Springfield Technical Community College's Entrepreneurial Institute offers a two-year associates degree in Small Business Entrepreneurship as well as a one-year certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies. With funding from NCIIA in 2002, the college successfully developed an honors colloquium (Entrepreneurship: Concept to Commercialization).

This grant further builds on STCC's current offerings by helping infuse entrepreneurship education across the curriculum. This grant funds a new course, Entrepreneurship: Where Art Meets Engineering. The core focus of the course will be on the process of innovation, and will serve as a vehicle for engaging students from across academic divisions to think holistically. The course will promote independent learning and self-direction within the framework of E-Team parameters.
