Bringing Healthcare Home

This UC - Berkeley team will create a new bioengineering capstone course called, “Bringing Healthcare Home.” The new course will focus on home healthcare, the fastest growing sector of Medicare health coverage spending. The main goals of the course are to provide engineering design training, challenge students to innovate and improve homecare technologies, focus on holistic user needs assessment and analysis of healthcare market trends, and fostering relationships between engineers and clinicians. The new course will be based on the existing bioengineering senior capstone, which lets small groups of student teams tackle problems identified by clients at UCSF.
